Join us on Sunday for a taste of the award winning Platinum Pudding
Round off Sunday lunch with a very special dessert
Although we were naturally disappointed that our recipe creation for Fortnum & Mason’s Platinum Pudding competition did not make the final, we didn’t envy the judges: all of the finalists’ puds looked amazing! At least we were on the right track with our trifle, The Queen’s Colours in celebration of the Queen (and Farmer Karl’s) love of horse racing. (See this blog post for more about Karl’s love of horses.)
Our talented and creative chefs have decided to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee by recreating the winning dessert for a one-off special for Sunday lunch on 5th June.
We’ll be serving winner Jemma Melvin’s Lemon Swiss Roll and Amaretti Trifle that will be created from the original recipe as the finale to a lunch menu that also includes Local Asparagus wrapped in Smoked Salmon, Farmer Karl’s home reared Aberdeen Angus Beef, Farmer David’s Marishes lamb and Cedarbarn grown Rhubarb and Apple Crumble.
The menu for our delicious Sunday lunches changes every week and the cost is £19.95 for two courses or £22.95 for three courses. Lunch service starts at 11.45am and finishes at 3pm. Due to its popularity, booking is essential. Please call our friendly team on 01751 475614 to reserve your table.
We look forward to welcoming you to Cedarbarn Farm Shop, Café and Miniature Railway very soon.
