Our award-winning farm shop and café is food heaven… but our produce doesn't just taste great; we're proud to say it's locally sourced as far as possible, with much of it grown on our own farm. Nearly everything we sell or serve has been produced right here in Yorkshire, whether it's our own fresh meat, Whitby fish, seasonal fruit and vegetables or delicious deli products from a host of artisan Yorkshire producers.
The shop's main attraction is probably its fresh meat counter, but we sell much more besides! The products we make from our own meat are incredibly popular, especially our famous Aberdeen Angus steak pies, which have been praised in Yorkshire Life magazine. We also have a fabulous range of deli products including roast beef, pork and ham, plus the very best quality pork pies, Scotch eggs and sausage rolls - perfect picnic food!
People like to watch the butchers at work and appreciate the fact that they will cut to order and give advice about different cuts and the best way to cook them.
Of course, our own fruit and vegetables are always available in season, along with a tempting selection of fresh bread and cakes.
There's also a carefully chosen range of fresh produce and groceries from some of Yorkshire's finest suppliers: Shepherd's Purse cheeses, Browns free range eggs, Whitby Seafish smoked fish, Wold Top Brewery ales and Yorkshire Rapeseed oil, to name but a few.
Our chefs make our own ready meals which are definitely a cut above the rest! Choose from our award-winning Aberdeen Angus Braised Steak with Wold Top Bitter, Aberdeen Angus Cottage Pie, Shepherd’s Pie, Chicken Curry, Fish Pie, Beef or Vegetarian Lasagne and Leek and Stilton Crumble - they're all delicious!
And to follow we even have traditional home-made puddings including Sticky Toffee Pudding with real creamy custard.
