Wish us luck in the Yorkshire and Humber Family Business Awards!
We’re proud and excited to share the news that we have been shortlisted in the Food and Drink Establishments category of the Yorkshire and Humber Family Business Awards 2024 awards, which champion family businesses across Yorkshire and Humberside.
Our co-founder, Mandy Avison said: “Yorkshire is home to so many fabulous family businesses, and we’re grateful to Sue and Dave from The Family Business Community for hosting these awards that recognise the achievements and celebrate the successes of local family businesses.”
Co-founder and Director of The Family Business Community, Sue Howorth, commented: “The quality of this year’s entries made the judges’ decisions extremely challenging. The finalists should be incredibly proud of their achievements. We’re looking forward to celebrating with all the family businesses in our region.”
Dave Clarkson, co-director, added: “We are thrilled by the level of commitment and attention to detail shown by all the applicants. The strength and diversity of the entries have truly impressed us.”
Joel Topham from AAB in Leeds, who hosted the Judging Day, also shared his thoughts: “The calibre of applications has been outstanding, and it’s clear that family businesses in our region are both proud and forward-thinking. Many of the entries showcased innovation and a progressive mindset.”
We face competition from Elsworth at the Mill, Grassington House, Millers Fish & Chips, Rudding Park, The Balloon Tree Farmshop & Café and Highfield House. We will learn whether we have been successful at an awards ceremony hosted by the lovely food and drink broadcaster, Nigel Barden, at the Royal Armouries Hall in Leeds on 22nd November.
Wish us luck!
