Wendy’s Pop up Pilates raised £470 for Macmillan Cancer Support
Wendy Harding, who teaches Pilates in Pickering and Thornton Le Dale, hosted a Pop-up Pilates event at Cedarbarn Farm Shop last weekend as a fundraiser for a local amateur jockey, Danny Hague, who is raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
“Thanks to everyone who came along and helped us to raise money for Danny, who is competing in this year’s Ride of Their Lives event at York Racecourse. We had great fun, as always, on the Cedarbarn lawn, and were delighted to contribute £470 to Danny’s fundraising target of £8,000,” said Wendy.
Farmer Karl added: “Macmillan is a charity that is close to the hearts of many of our team. We are indebted to Wendy for leading this much-anticipated annual event again.”
Our next event is a charity quiz to raise money for Danny and fellow Ride of their Lives jockey, Sabrina Coultas, who is from Sinnington. The quiz takes place on 22nd May, and teams of four can enter the fun quiz to win Cedarbarn breakfasts. Tickets include a light supper and cost £12.50. They are available online here.
We hope you can make it!
