We’ve made it easy to shop local for Easter gifts and treats

It’s the start of the Easter holidays, the sun is shining, the miniature railway is running and we’re proud to say that we have a shop bursting with Yorkshire delights for you!

Whether you’re looking for Easter chocolate or alternative Easter gifts, here’s a sample of our Yorkshire goodies:

Easter chocolate

If you’ve never tried Guppy’s chocolates that are made by hand and with love by a fellow family business in York, then you’re missing a treat! We have eggs large and small, Easter bunnies in milk and white chocolate and the cutest, delicious milk chocolate chick and bunny faces.

Alternative Easter gifts 

Yorkshire gin

If you’re looking for a gift for someone who’s over 18 or not a chocolate lover (we’ve yet to meet one!), treat them to some Yorkshire gin, ales and cider – there are lots of lovely gift sets.

We only stock gin that’s produced in Yorkshire and our range includes a brand-new Whitby Gin made with Yorkshire rhubarb, Hooting Owl gin from Pocklington, York Gin, Forged in Wakefield and Rare Bird Gin from Malton. Yorkshire ales

You can’t get much more local than beers from C84 Brew Co. which is just 5 and a half miles away in the village of Cropton and from North Riding Brewery which is seven miles away – their Chocolate and Fudge Porter ale is perfect and delicious for Easter, either as a gift or for self-indulgence! We also have a range of beers from other Yorkshire breweries including Wold Top, Ampleforth Abbey and Helmsley Brewing Co.

Yorkshire cider

Coleman’s Cider are based in the Yorkshire Wolds village of Kilham and they produce lovely, flavoured ciders that are great for spring and summer drinking. The range includes damson plum, elderflower, rhubarb, rose and whisky and we haven’t found one that we don’t like yet!

Yorkshire jigsaws

We love Tim Bulmer’s Yorkshire themed jigsaws that include North York Moors, York and a map of Yorkshire. They’re beautifully made in England using environmentally compatible 100% recycled board and water-based inks and, at 1000 pieces, they’ll certainly keep you occupied should the bank holiday weather be inclement!

Treat yourself
