PYO strawberries are now available

The strawberries are ready to pick in the PYO field!

The moment many of you have been waiting for has arrived: the PYO strawberries are ready!

It’s one of the most important and exciting days in the farming year here at Cedarbarn as the first of our 32,000 strawberry plants are ripe enough for picking.

This year, with the help of Farmer Bert (pictured) and the growing team, Farmer Karl has planted six different varieties of strawberries that will crop continuously from now until September/October.

We have also introduced an area of table-top strawberry plants situated close to the café which means that our more elderly customers are now able to pick their own too.

The strawberry field is open between 9am and 4pm every day. If you come between 11.30am and 2pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, you can reward your picking efforts with a barista coffee and one of our freshly cooked pizzas from the Pizza Trailer in the Pizza Paddock.
