Pop Up Pilates with Wendy Harding

Pickering Pilates instructor Wendy Harding has very kindly volunteered to run two Pop Up Pilates sessions at Cedarbarn as part of Karl’s Ride of Their Lives fundraising for Macmillan.

Wendy, who teaches Pilates in Pickering and Thornton Le Dale, will host two Pop-up Pilates events on the lawn here at Cedarbarn on May 12th and June 9th and we’d be delighted if you could join us.

Wendy said: “I love an outdoor class, and always look forward to our Cedarbarn classes in the summer. Together as a community, we’ve raised money for St Catherine’s Hospice, Prostate Cancer UK and Macmillan. Karl and I were in the same year group at school, and although it takes a bit of organising and weather watching, we love getting together for our Cedarbarn Pilates classes and hope to raise vital funds for Macmillan.”

The classes take place between 9 am and 10 am and cost £10 per session. Although booking isn’t necessary, participants are requested to register their interest by emailing wendykharding@gmail.com and to bring a mat and a drink to each session, plus cash if they’d like to buy raffle tickets.

As part of the fundraising, Miller Food Service has donated pastries for participants who buy a drink from the Airstream trailer after the session.

Karl said:  “We’re incredibly grateful to Wendy for giving up her time yet again to help with our fundraising. It’s very much appreciated and we’re really looking forward to it.”

The Pop-up Pilates is one of a series of fundraising events that include a Fun Dog Show, a Muck and Magic AD tour courtesy of the Douglas family, a Mumbler Family Fun Day sponsored by Victory Lodge of Freemasons 4042 and Yorkshire Gin Festival sponsored by Hatfields Land Rover.

People can also donate directly to Karl’s Just Giving Account: https://bit.ly/KarlAvisonROTL.
