Our quiz night raised over £1,200 for Lucy’s Legacy and Breast Cancer Now
We’re over the moon to share the news that our charity quiz night and raffle raised over £1,200!
On Friday 20th February, local quizmaster and star Cedarbarn team member Michael Kipling welcomed 80 people to the cafe for a fun quiz and pie and pea supper.
The event was organised by our assistant general manager, Lauren. She said: “Huge thanks to everyone who supported this great event in aid of two deserving charities, and thanks to Jody Marton and Faye Wheldon for arranging the raffle prizes, which took our fundraising total to £1,240.
“Proceeds from the quiz were shared equally between Lucy’s Legacy and Breast Cancer Now. Lucy’s Legacy raises funds to support people struggling with maternal mental health issues, and Jody Marton is fundraising for the research and support charity, Breast Cancer Now, following her own diagnosis in December 2024.”
The quiz was won by Jennifer Downing and her team.
Our next charity fundraiser will be a Race Night on Friday, 1st May, to raise money for Sabrina Coultas’s Ride of Their Lives campaign for Macmillan Cancer Support. Tickets cost £20 per person and are available to buy from the farm shop and are cash only. Be quick, though, as we know everyone loves a race night and we wouldn’t like you to miss out!
