If you’re looking for inspiration for Father’s Day treats for the father figure in your life, pop into the Farm Shop where you’ll find a treasure trove of gift ideas from Yorkshire beer and gin to homemade pies and home reared Aberdeen Angus steaks.

For the alcohol lovers

We have a range of alcohol for those dads who love a tipple or two. We have a selection of local gins, from Whitby Gin, York Gin, Fox Gin and Hooting Owl, including gift packs of three miniatures for dad to sample the range of flavours. Larger bottles are also available in a variety of flavours: choose from Rhubarb, Lemon, Old Tom, Bramble Bay and Citrus.

We also have a selection of local beers available in gift packs for dad to sample his firm favourites. These beers are brewed within 30 miles of Cedarbarn and made at Wold Top Brewery in Hunmanby, Helmsley Brewing Co. and C’84 Brew Co in Cropton.

For a sweet tooth

We have a selection of sweet treats for the dads who deserve to be treated. From Lottie Shaw’s, we have a biscuit selection tin with the message ‘Happy Father’s Day’ on the front. We also have Yorkshire parkin, a firm favourite with everyone, it can be enjoyed cold or warmed up with some custard – delicious!

For a novelty gift to go, we have some delicious sock-shaped hand-iced biscuits from Bradford-based Cookielicious.

For jigsaw lovers

We love Tim Bulmer’s jigsaws that include North York Moors (our best-seller), York, a map of Yorkshire, Golf, Fishing and Gin designs. They’re beautifully made in England using environmentally compatible 100% recycled board and water-based inks and, with 1,000 pieces, they should keep dad occupied for a while!

For garden lovers

We have a selection of indoor and outdoor plants for dads who enjoy spending time in the garden. These plants have been sourced by a local supplier in Malton. Let us know if there’s something special that you have in mind, and we’ll see if we can order it in for you.

Treat him to Sunday lunch

If you really want to celebrate in style, why not treat him (and you!) to Sunday lunch in the Café? The menu changes weekly, but there’s always a tempting range of home-reared meats and homegrown fruit and vegetables that are perfectly cooked by our excellent team of chefs.
