Congratulations, Cameron!

Huge Cedarbarn congratulations to our Level 3 butchery apprentice Cameron McNicoll for being shortlisted in the Apprenticeship category at the York Press BusinessIQ Awards. The awards celebrate people who have gone above and beyond as part of their apprenticeship and have successfully come through their apprenticeship programme thanks to employers that have offered the support and training needed to kick-start their careers.

Our head butcher, Patrick Donaghy said: “Cameron is a well-deserving finalist in these high-profile business awards. He is a well-liked and respected member of the team. He works hard to promote the fabulous cuts and specials that the butchery team prepare and is a real asset. We wish him all the best for the final.”

Cameron faces competition from Sarah Fairweather at Grand Opera House and George Owen from Vet Partners. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at York Racecourse on 26th November.

Winner of the prestigious Nicholson Award for his exceptional performance during his Level 2 apprenticeship, Cameron is currently doing his Level 3 Advanced Butchery Apprenticeship at Bishop Burton College near Beverley, East Yorkshire.

Good luck, Cameron!
