We’ve won another award!

We’re very excited to share the news that our lovely Farm Shop won an award at the inaugural York Press Food and Drink awards!

We beat stiff competition from Love Cheese and Whole Hogg Farm Shop to win the Farm Shop category at the new awards, which celebrate the best of York and North Yorkshire’s hospitality and food scene.

Chloe Turner, daughter of our co-founders, Karl and Mandy Avison and a member of the Cedarbarn horticultural team, collected the award with head chef, Mike Brown. She said: “We were delighted and proud to win the Farm Shop award. Our family has been welcoming people to our farm shop, butchery and café for almost 20 years and it is testament to our fabulous team that we’re still winning awards after all this time.

“Thanks to the team at the York Press for organising a great awards event in the iconic Yorkshire setting of the National Railway Museum.”
